I’ve noticed that children often compare themselves to the people surrounding them. Here, I’ve imagined situations in which the child compares itself to an animal: it’s more fun!

These books can grow up with the child.
First you read the text and the child answers: "Not me" or "Me too".
Then you can have fun changing the text.
For example, looking at the picture "The elephant has a very long nose", you say "The elephant is very kind".
The child answers "Not me" and understands straightaway that he’s been tricked.
Laughter is guaranteed! Variations are infinite.

I’m persuaded that children understand much more than we think they do. In the sheep book, on the page with the flock, I wrote: "Sheep follow the flock, not me". During an activity, a child made this reflection: "Yes, because when you follow the flock, you can get lost…".

For these small books, I switched to acrylic paint, under the influence of Grégoire Solotareff and Antoon Krings. Beforehand, I used watercolours.
